Vinny came to BGSU with the star label already attached. An under-19 U.S. Eagle, Vinny took over the 1st XV scrum half spot in just his second game with the club. All this happened while we on a tour of Wales and before he had even attended his first class at BG. He led the club to four straight national championship appearances and was elected captain in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He was Rookie of the Year in 2000 and voted Most Valuable Player in 2002 and 2003. He is fourteenth on the career scoring list with 417 points and sixth on the career try list with 83.
