Class of 2008

Jeff wanted to play football for BGSU but never had a chance – I literally camped out in front of his dorm room door, refusing to leave until he agreed to give rugby a try. He took the foundation of the hard nosed runner combined with a big hit tackler at eight man created by Pat Wood and expanded on the concept. He scored more points with 335 than any other forward in the club’s history and is eighteenth on the career scoring list and is thirteenth on the career try list with 67. Jeff was elected vice captain in 1997 and captain in 1998. Jeff had a lock on the Bone Crusher Award as BG’s top defender, winning that in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 and was voted the Most Valuable Player in 1998 as well.
