Ian Gagnon, another of the BGSU RFC’s scoring machines at the wing position, Ian holds the record for tries in a season with 30 and is second on the career try scoring list with 140. He is fourth on the career scoring list with 700 points and is the only one in the top ten that did it without kicking for points. Ian was voted Most Improved Player in 2004 and Most Valuable Player in 2006. He was also named to the Midwest Collegiate team in 2008. But I know that the achievement for which he is most proud is being named winner of the Roan Gouws Award for Spirit of the Game in 2005.
